the game engine has several limitations
& data parameters for an object may work ok in one version and not in another.

the game engines from 2013 onwards have some new features

limit off runway speed with TIREFRIC 0.004 #TIRE FRICTION COEFFICIENT
could be made to go high when off the runway
this would limit high acceleration when off the runway
and you could reduce the bouncy roll effect
maybe even add dust trails
